Sick of the boring, sedentary lifestyle, and wish to escape the hustle of city for an opportunity to unwind and refresh? You are supposed to make an expedition to Zhangjiajie - the Pandora world in Avatar, and embark on a journey of redemption, exploration and great fun.
If you’re more of a freewheeling adventurer enjoying travelling in the mountains, like I do, allow yourself at least a 3-day Zhangjiajie trip (some of the attraction tickets are valid for three days).
There are several scenic areas of mountain groups of rarely-seen quartz and sandstone geomorphologic structure, including Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, Suoxiyu Nature Reserve, Tianmen Mountain and Tianzi Mountain. The 'Avatar Hallelujah Mountain' is just ‘floating’ in Yuanjiajie Area. To be honest, I have been totally amazed by the grandeur of these unusual wonders on our planet.
For senior travelers and kids who are afraid of too much hiking and climbing, no worries, you can always take the cable car or elevator up and down the mountains.
